Trachycarpus fortune is a hardy palm native to cultivation in Japan not seen in the wild. All species are from Asia, spreading from India through Myanmar and Thailand into China.

Planting and care

A palm tree needs to establish its roots first. Only when the roots have developed adequately does leaf development take place.
