Lay the seed on the surface of the soil so the rounded end is parallel with the soil surface.Press the sago palm seed into the surface of the soil until it is two-thirds buried but still plainly visible. Drizzle water into the pot until the growing mixture is saturated and the water begins to drain from the bottom of the pot.Place the potted sago palm seeds in a bright, sheltered location such as on a porch or inside a lightly shaded cold frame. Warm the pots to between 75 and 90 F using a germination mat.
