It is used as an appetizer, tonic, astringent, aphrodisiac and antipyretic, and it is claimed to cure leucoderma, blood diseases, itching, ringworm, piles, ulcers, anemia, jaundice, urinary discharges, joint pain, lumbago and weakness of limbs.
