Dragon fruit produces a beautiful but short-lived fruit with the appearance of a brilliant pink rosebud. Dragon fruit is known for its vibrant red skin and sweet, seed-speckled pulp.

The dragon fruit is member of Cactaceae family. Dragon fruit is perennial vine like cacti. They have triangular green, fleshy, jointed, many branched stems. Flower is white showy, edible, fragrant and bell shaped. The fruit is a fleshy berry, which is oblong with red and yellow scaly peel.
