Description

Rauvolfia serpentina, the Indian snakeroot, devil pepper, or serpentine wood, is a species of flower in the milkweed family Apocynaceae. It is native to the Indian subcontinent and East Asia (from India to Indonesia).

Rauvolfia is a perennial undershrub widely distributed in India in the sub-Himalayan regions up to 1,000 metres (3,300 ft).

Planting and care

  • Watering should be done early in the morning when the soil feels to dry.
  • After fertilizer application, water should be given to plant.
    • Sunlight Full sun to part shade
    Watering Dry to medium
    Soil Well drained soil
    Temperature 25 to 40 degrees C
    Fertilizer Apply any organic fertilizer
    Sarpagandha care
    Sarpagandha plant propagated by seeds in monsoon season. The seedlings of six weeks old are transplanted in the pot or main field at a spacing of 60 X 60 cm.

    Sarpagandha special feature

    It is the source of the phytochemical, reserpine, which has been used in the treatment of systolic hypertension.

    Ashwagandha uses

    Medicinal Use:
    • Sarpagandha improves symptoms of hypertension, insomnia (sleeplessness), anxiety, irritability, constipation, fever, and manias.

    It's really worth the money. The pots are elegant and perfect for showcase plants.
    The plants are fresh. I had major concerns about the way they parcel it, but to my delight an excellent way of packing and all issues have been considered while packing. Kudos!!!

    Packaging and delivery excellent. Plants in good healthy condition. Happy with that.But the Rhoeo plant and the spider place was tiny, nothing like the picture. Very disappointed. The Syngonium bad.
