Thuja are evergreen trees growing from 10 to 200 feet (3.0 to 61.0 metres) tall, with stringy-textured reddish-brown bark. The shoots are flat, with side shoots only in a single plane. The leaves are scale-like 1 to 10 mm long

Planting and care

An accurate soil test will tell you where your pH currently stands. Acidic (sour) soil is counteracted by applying finely ground limestone, and alkaline (sweet) soil is treated with ground sulfur. If you order roses from a mail-order company, order early, in January or February (March at the latest). They are usually shipped in the spring as bare roots when plants are fully dormant, well before they have leafed out

Sunlight Soil Water Temperature Fertilizer
Full Sun to Partial Shade well-drained soil Medium 70 and 75F Apply any organic fertilizer

Caring for Morpankhi

Start with pruning shears for smaller growth. Use loppers, which look like giant, long-handle shears, for growth that is more than half an inch thick. A small pruning saw is handy, as it cuts on both the push and the pull.

Typical uses of Morpankhi

Special features: The main difference is that Morphankhi has all leaves and branchlets in one plane, which makes it easy to put them in books, a habit common in school kids all over India. The leaves and branchlets of Italian Cypress are not in one plane
