  • Cilantro: Popularly known as coriander in India, it's a vital ingredient for Mexican cuisine. Coriander has long taproots. Sow it in a 10-inch deep pot, with sufficient space between the seeds. Soak the seeds in prior for best results.
  • Oregano: A popular herb in Italian and Mexican cuisine, having an oregano plant in your garden is an added plus. Oregano seeds can be potted and placed at your window sill or balcony. During harvest, remember to snip the leaves from the base first and not the new shoot.
