Hari champa is a shrub found in India and its flowers are renowned for its exotic fragrance. The yellow colored flowers of this plant are very fragrant.

Hari champa is an evergreen climbing or scandent shrub growing up to 8 metres tall. A powerful, far-reaching, many-stemmed woody climber, the old stems of great thickness. It supports itself on other plants by means of modified leaf stems that are shaped like hooks.

The plant yields an essential oil and is also used as a flavoring in tea. It is commonly cultivated as an ornamental plant. The flowers of Hari champa are very long lasting and hold their scent for days, if kept in water, permeating an entire room.
