Planting and care
Regular supplemental watering is important for weeping willow trees during their first year of growth to ensure establishment of deep roots. Never allow the soil to dry deeper than the top 2 to 3 inches. Weeping willows older than one year require supplemental watering only during periods of little to no rainfall to prevent the soil from becoming dry.
