Description
A spreading shrub, the Rubia grows to about 2 m. Its 6-12 cm leaves are glossy green with reddish petioles.
Floriferous shrub to 2m or more high,dense with willowy branches ;opposite ovate or lanceolate glossy green leaves 6 to 12 cm long, The midrib ivory to reddish ; the showy inflorescence in globular heads 8 to 10 cm across, of flower with velvety,linear,goowing red,petaloid bracts or sepals, and tiny white 4- lobed white corolla under 1 cm across, on long protruding slender red tube.
