Marsdenia tenacissima

Rajmahal creeper is a robust climbing shrub, A very useful fiber is obtained from the stem. The bark is grey. Leaves are broadly ovate, acuminate, deeply cordate at the base with rounded lobes. Flowers are greenish yellow, arranged in much branched, corymbose cymes.

Flowering occurs in March and April, while fruits mature in May and June. Seeds are about 1 to 2 cm long, flattened, and ovate-oblong in shape. Roots are purgative, alternative, and given in colic and gonorrhea.
