It is an erect, herbaceous, branched, annual herb. The leaves are arranged on opposite, sessile, subcordate to ovate-lanceolate sides of the stem. Leaves are 10 to 20 cm long and wide.
The flower is yellow and, conspicuous, in solitary or clustered heads to 2 cm across, arranged in corymbs; heads with 40 to 60 tubular hermaphroditic florets. The heads are long ray florets. The disk florets are yellow to orange with yellow anthers, and a densely hairy stigma.Plant Specifications
