Turk s cap is generally tolerant of all soil types, but prefers well-drained, fertile loam. It can be drought-tolerant once established, but does best with regular water, especially when the top few inches of soil are dry to the touch. It is also quite pest-free and not especially susceptible to any common plant diseases
