Indian summer calls for consuming seasonal, nutrient-rich and hydrating fruits. Even though growing fruits is a lengthier process than growing vegetables, it's definitely worth the wait. Nonetheless, there are certain hybrid varieties of fruits that speed up the process while keeping the nutrients intact.

Below are a few summer sowing fruit seeds:

Mango
Alluvial and loamy well-drained fertile land with lots of sunlight and water is ideal for Mango to survive. Certain dwarf varieties can grow in containers or pots.

Watermelon
Space it out while cultivating watermelon. It being a big fruit and a vine, watermelon needs space to grow. It also requires plenty of sunlight, making it ideal for sowing in the summer.

Jamun
Jamun is a relatively slow-growing plant. They need lots of water, especially during germination and less manuring to grow.

Muskmelon
With high water content, muskmelon is an ideal fruit to have during summers and needs lots of space to grow. While irrigation, make sure that the actual fruit gets minimum contact with water.

Jackfruit
Jackfruit trees grow from 33 to 66 feet high. The fruit comes from the trunk of the plant, and it takes around 3-4 years to bear fruit. It needs regular watering in the initial 2-3years of growth.

Litchi / Lychee
The planting method can be as direct sowing or by transplanting method. Frequent irrigation is ideal in the initial years of planting-twice a week and later reduced to once a week for older plants.

Let's make the most of the new year, and start planting trees and reap the 'fruits' of our labour while doing good for the environment. Purchase all of the above-mentioned summer sowing fruit seeds and more from our NurseryLive website.
