About Snake Plant
The snake plant or mother-in-law’s tongue is an evergreen perennial plant forming dense stands. The plant has been named so because of the shape of its leaves and its sharpness. Its biological name is Sansevieria trifasciata. These are one of the most tolerant plants and even neglecting them for weeks at a time retains their strappy leaves and architectural shape and leaves them looking fresh.
They can survive low light levels, drought and have few insect problems. NASA research has even shown that snake plants are able to help keep the air inside your home clean, removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene.
Growing snake plant from cuttings is relatively easy.
