Senecio Herreianus - Plant
Description for Senecio Herreianus
Senecio herreianus is a succulent plant, similar to the more common Curio rowleyanus, with trailing stems of oval pointed, bead like, green leaves, up to 0.4 inch (10 cm) with vertical, translucent lines or photosynthetic windows. The flowers are small, white to near white, brush like on long peduncles.
Winter hardy to USDA Zones 9-12. Intolerant of frost. In St. Louis, plants must be brought indoors prior to first fall frost date for overwintering. This plant is best grown in a dry, sandy, well-drained, cactus-type potting mix in part shade. Allow roots to dry out between waterings.
