Botanically fruit is ripened ovary that encloses seeds. So, apricots, bananas, and grapes, as well as bean pods, corn grains, tomatoes, cucumbers, and (in their shells) acorns and almonds, are all technically fruits.

Fruits have been proved too appealing to help induce immunity against colds & fevers.

Many fruits are low in calories and fats but contain good amounts of vitamins and minerals.

All the Green-Yellow-Orange fruits are rich sources of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, beta-carotene, vitamin B-complex, vitamin-C, vitamin-A, and vitamin K

As in vegetables, fruits too are important source of many antioxidants.
