It is a deciduous tree, growing to 25 m tall. Reetha leaves are long-stalked odd-pinnate. The flowers are small and greenish white, polygamous and mostly bisexual in panicles at the end of branches.

Planting and care
Easily grown in dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Tolerates high pH soils. Also, tolerates sandy or rocky soils. Self-seeds in optimum growing conditions. Plant bulbs in autumn.
