Stachytarpheta is a perennial flowering plant in Verbenaceae family. The flower inflorescence is a narrow spike and rich in nectar. The leaves are attractive, crinkled and toothed. It is a perennial shrub that becomes woody toward the base of the stem as it grows to about one year old.
