About Alocasia Hybrid

Alocasia is a genus of broad-leaved rhizomatous or tuberous perennial flowering plants from the family Araceae. This plant is famous for its unusual and unique alien-looking leaves. Elephant ear plant (Alocasia sp.) received their common name because their leaves look like green renditions of elephant ears.

The plants can be kept indoors as house plants or grown outdoors in shady areas. It is very low maintenance plant. The Elephant Ear plant is a Herbaceous Perennial, meaning that they grow from non-woody stems and will re-bloom each year.

It is a robust rhizomatous evergreen perennial with dark green, narrowly arrow-shaped, wavy-edged leaves, up to 2 feet long (60 cm), adorned with ribs and margins marked in bright creamy white.

    Planting Alocasia bulbs?

you can plant them directly into some well draining soil (preferably a little soil mixed with perlite and sand, or other loose and dry material). This is for the bulb not to rot when you water it, you'll just have to remember to water it quite frequently.

Soggy soil makes the plant susceptible to many fungal infections. Water Keep Alocasia plants moist all year; they are water-loving plants. There is a fine line with these plants.
