It is herbaceous Plant, with erect-ascending stems. The plant grows up to 0.2 meter tall. The leaves are oblong to linear-elliptic, shortly petiolate or subsessile, narrowly elliptic. The inflorescences of simple racemes, sometimes branched. Bracts are present.

The Corolla is 6 to 7 mm long, pale lilac, lavender or white with markings of darker dots. Stamen-filaments c.5 mm long; lower theca fertile; connectives c. 2 mm long. Nutlets black, producing mucilage when wet.
