These tropical plants generally have thick stems and fleshy, variegated leaves. Gardeners value this small, compact plant for its thick, variegated foliage, and ease of care. It has broad elongated leaves. The leaf has irregular yellowish-white edges, with shades of green sections in the center.

Leaf size is largest on young plants. Ficus plants range from large trees to woody shrubs.
