Description for Pittosporum tetraspermum
It is a small tree growing up to 8 meters tall. The trunk is brown, lenticellate. Young branches are pubescent, lenticellate. Leaves are simple, alternate, crowded at the apex. Petioles are long, minutely pubescent.
The inflorescence is racemes. The flower is cream in color. 2 valved, globose, smooth, black capsule with 4 seeds. Seeds are resinous sticky pulp, reddish-orange in color. The Stem & bark is antibacterial, antifungal.used in snake bites. e. Large shrubs, to 2 m tall; bark rough, grey outside, pungent smelling when cut, granular.
