Hymenocallis caribaea is a bulb-forming perennial. Leaves are up to 80 cm long. Umbel contains as many as 12 white flowers. Tepals are narrowly linear, up to 10 cm long, usually drooping at flowering time

Planting and care

  • To get the best from your plants, divide them every 5 to 10 years and replant in freshly dug soil enriched with compost, ground rock mineral fertilizer and composted animal manure.
  • If your plants are not flowering, it might be because of the too much shade, starving and need a feed, the area is too dry and plants need supplementary watering.
