Methi Kasturi, Fenugreek - Seeds
The plant and seed give off a maple aroma and taste. This herb is tender and does not survive freezing weather, so the seeds are cultivated during the spring after the last frost occurs.
Common name: Trigonella foenum-graecum (botanical name), methi, samudra methi, shanbalile, abesh, hilbeh, hilba, helba, halba
Color: White flowers appear in early summer and develop into long, slender, yellow-brown pods containing the brown seeds of fenugreek.
Height: The plant reaches a height of 0.3 to 0.8 meters and has trifoliate leaves.

Planting & Care
Sunlight: Plant it in a spot that receives at least 4 hours of sun with shade in afternoon.
Soil: Well-drained soils. Growth is slow and weak in cold temperatures and wet soils. A soil pH of 5.3 to 8.2.
Water: Do regular watering, let the soil dry out between watering sessions and care not to over-water the plant to save it from root rot.
Temprature: The reported life zone of fenugreek is 8 to 27 degrees centigrade
Fertilizer: Fenugreek does not require fertilizer however, you can mix manure or compost in soil while planting.
